NIRF Ranking 2023: MoE Introduces 'Agriculture & Allied Sectors' Discipline
The Ministry of Education (MoE) has introduced a fresh category to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings 2023. The fresh discipline “Agriculture and Allied Sectors” has been added along with the existing categories which comprise colleges, universities, overall ranking, management, pharmacy, engineering, medical, law, architecture & dental colleges. Further, in the category list, the Architecture discipline got relabelled as Architecture & Planning discipline.
Before 2022, there were a total of 10 categories. Last year, the government added the category of Research Institution. So, the NIRF ranking last year was published in 11 categories. The list now includes Agriculture and Allied Sectors, bringing the total number of categories to 12.
The NIRF 2023 registration link is available on the official website nirfindia.org. The NIRF ranking 2023 registration portal will be active until November 18, 2022. The online registration portal will be accessible until 5 p.m on November 18. The organizations that take part in the previous India rankings process have already been pre-registered.
The Indian institutions are assessed by NIRF in the following categories: outreach and inclusivity, graduation outcomes, teaching-learning and resources, research and professional practice, and perception.
