Online application from eligible candidates for the Digital India Internship Scheme under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) has been invited. Digital India is an initiative the Government of India took with a vision to make India a digitally empowered country with improved online infrastructure. Interested candidates can submit their online applications on or before 31st May 2023.
Eligibility Criteria:
(i) Indian students from recognized Indian universities who received at least 60% in the degree or certificate examination and pursuing:
B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech
M.Sc.(CS/IT/ Electronics/ Electrical)
MCA/DOEACC ‘B’ level
LL.B
B.A./M.A. in Economics (Hons.)
(ii) The preceding basic requirements do not guarantee an internship in this Ministry. Candidates with experience in the field of the proposed internship, strong academic credentials, and higher qualifications will, depending on need, be given preference.
Duration of Internship:
Internships would be offered twice a year, that is, summer internships during May and June, and winter internships during December and January. The internship must last a least two months, although it may be extended to three months based on the candidate's performance, the Ministry's needs, and how much time the intern is willing to commit.

Stipend:
The intern will get a stipend of Rs 10000 per month if his or her performance is found satisfactory
The student will receive payment once the internship is over and the report has been submitted
The ministry will also provide a certificate to the interns upon completion of the internship and submission of the project report

(i) The Interns will be shortlisted and selected by the respective organizations/groups/divisions for their concerned domain
(ii) Personal or Skype Interviews may be conducted
(iii) List of selected candidates would be displayed on the web portal
