• Degree/MSc/PhD in either mathematics, data science, computer science, machine learning or similar
• 5+ Years of professional experience in a data scientist role or similar. Experience in managing a team of junior data scientists is desirable
• Solid understanding of probability, statistics, machine learning with a proficiency in statistical modelling and machine learning techniques
• Solid experience in Data Science working with large amounts of data
• Experience with Relational databases & Mongo / Unstructured Databases,
• End-to-end system design: Data analysis, feature engineering, algorithm selection & implementation, debugging, and maintenance in production.
• Proficient in Python
• Experience with common data science toolkits such as R, NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Pytorch, Keras etc.
• Experience with big data and distributed data/computing tools like Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark is a big plus.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical analysis to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.
• Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.
• Reach out to the open source community to encourage and help implement mission- critical software fixes—React Native moves fast and often breaks things.
• Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
• Transition existing React web apps to React Native.

Skills

• Firm grasp of the JavaScript language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax
• Knowledge of functional or object-oriented programming
• Ability to write well-documented, clean Javascript code.
• Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts
• Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle.
• Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage.
• Lead Proof of concepts on new technical requirements and mentor and monitor team to ensure latest technical skills are acquired as necessary by the team.
• Provide realistic estimations for new project engagements. Recommend optimal
