CTET - Central Teacher Eligibility Test

CTET exam is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. It is organized twice every year and the objective behind this exam is to find deserving candidates who are eligible to teach students at primary and secondary education levels till Class Vlll.

Both Paper I & II of CTET contain a total of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) each. 1 mark is awarded to correct answers and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. The paper is conducted in offline mode as a pen-and-paper based test. ​Paper 1 consists of 5 sections while Paper 2 consists of 4 sections.

  • Paper-I will be conducted for candidates who wish to be teachers for Classes I to IV
  • Paper-II will be conducted for candidates who wish to be teachers for Classes VI to VIII
